Deep Dish Dungeon Cooking Table: Unlock and Use It

Pick up Leather to unlock the Cooking Table, then build it in the Crafting menu with 2 Wood Planks and 1 Leather. Use the table to prepare ingredients and assemble dishes, including carcass portions, Corn Dough and raw meals for the Oven.

Leather is both the unlock prerequisite and part of the construction cost. Patch 1.0.50.0 changed the prerequisite from Corn to Leather. You can use Leather found in the dungeon before you have access to making more at a Workbench.

Once you have a Workbench, combine 2 Animal Hide to make 1 Leather. The Leather production recipe itself requires you to have obtained Leather, and building a Workbench also takes Leather. If you are still establishing your camp, find a piece in the dungeon before trying to make your supply from hides.

For planks, the Crafting menu turns 1 Log into 3 Wood Planks. Wood Planks can also be found in chests and as loose materials around the dungeon. Check your stored materials before heading out, and reserve the table's ingredients before spending them on other camp equipment.

The Cooking Table turns carcasses and other ingredients into portions for your cooking recipes. Bring Bat Carcasses and Scorpion Carcasses here for preparation. Choose the conversion that matches what you brought back, then plan how you want to use its result.

Raw Drumsticks can become Cooked Drumsticks on a Rotisserie, Skillet or Oven. Raw Steak can become Grilled Steak on the Rotisserie or Skillet. Keep the next station in mind when deciding whether to prepare portions for immediate cooking or save ingredients for another dish.

Corn Dough is a Cooking Table ingredient used in Flat Bread, Noodles and Raw Deep Dish Pizza. Wild Corn can be found near the fountain on the way to the final room. Keep Empty Bottles you find or have left after drinking potions among your cooking supplies.

The table handles the dough and assembly stages, while the Oven handles baking. If you need an Oven for this, its construction recipe takes 5 Clay and 1 Grate. Check that you also have the Water Bottle needed for the dough before starting your pizza preparation.

Combine 1 Corn Dough and 1 Basil at the table to make 2 Flat Bread. A Wrap then takes 1 Flat Bread, 1 Cooked Meat and 1 Cilantro. For a Veggie Wrap, use 1 Flat Bread, 1 Roasted Pepper and 1 Roasted Corn.

You can prepare 2 Dry herbs from 1 Cilantro and 1 Basil. For a baking option, combine 1 Corn Dough and 1 Apple into 1 Raw Apple Pie, then put the raw pie in the Oven to make Apple Pie. Read the result's name before moving on so you know whether you have prepared an ingredient, assembled a meal or made something that still needs baking.

If the Cooking Table is missing from the Crafting menu, check that your game includes patch 1.0.50.0 or later. Make sure Leather has entered your own inventory. Corn belongs to the older unlock requirement, so focus on the Leather pickup when trying to reveal the construction recipe.

If a friend can see a recipe you cannot, try picking up its ingredients yourself. Recipe unlocks are not necessarily shared in co-op, so a friend carrying Leather may leave your own table recipe hidden. Have them pass you the Leather, then check your Crafting menu again before gathering more materials.

If the table is built but your next meal is blocked, compare the recipe's ingredient names with what you are carrying. Bat Carcasses become Raw Drumsticks at the table, while Raw Deep Dish Pizza goes into the Oven to become Deep Dish Pizza. Follow the preparation and cooking stages in order, and check the required station before spending more ingredients.
