01

Start with the Cooking Table

Process Scorpion and Bat Carcasses at a Cooking Table, then cook the Scorpion Tail or Raw Drumsticks you receive. Pick up Leather to unlock the table, then build it with 2 Wood Planks and 1 Leather.

02

Get Leather and build your preparation station

Leather is the pickup you need for the Cooking Table unlock. You can find it in the sewers, including a small chest that also holds a Bone Club. If you have been waiting for Corn before checking the table recipe, pick up Leather instead.

  1. Craft a Cooking Table from the Crafting menu with 2 Wood Planks and 1 Leather. This creates the station used to process Scorpion, Bat, and Red Bat Carcasses.

For a continuing Leather supply, the Workbench turns 2 Animal Hide into 1 Leather. Find your initial Leather before relying on that route: the Workbench itself needs Leather to build, and the Leather recipe also requires you to have picked up Leather. Spend your found Leather with those station costs in mind.

03

Process the carcass into a usable ingredient

Giant Bats, Giant Red Bats, and Scorpions leave carcasses for you to harvest after defeating them. Collecting the carcass is a separate interaction after the kill. Take that carcass to the Cooking Table before choosing how to cook the resulting ingredient.

Roast tails and drumsticks without making dough

For a straightforward meal, cook the processed tail or drumstick on its own. A Rotisserie, Skillet, or Oven can turn Scorpion Tail into Cooked Tail and Raw Drumstick into Cooked Drumstick. Choose a station you already have available if you want food before gathering ingredients for baked dishes.

  1. Build a Rotisserie over a Bonfire using 2 Sticks and 2 Wood Planks if you need a roasting station. It gives you a place to cook the processed ingredients.
  2. Remove the cooked food when it is ready. Leaving food on the Rotisserie too long burns it.
05

Bake Scorpion Rolls or Coxinha

Keep some tails or raw drumsticks for baking when you have Corn Dough. Both routes begin at the Cooking Table and finish in the Oven. Prepare the raw version of the dish before moving it to the Oven.

  1. Make 1 Corn Dough at the Cooking Table from 1 Wild Corn and 1 Water Bottle. This supplies the dough for either baked dish.
  2. For Scorpion Rolls, combine 1 Corn Dough with 1 Scorpion Tail at the Cooking Table. The recipe produces 3 Raw Scorpion Rolls.
  3. For Coxinha, combine 1 Corn Dough with 1 Raw Drumstick at the Cooking Table. The recipe produces 2 Raw Coxinha.

A Scorpion Roll gives +40 Max HP, +20 Max SP, and a 25% reduction in Weapon SP Cost for 20 minutes. Coxinha gives +25 Max HP for 39 minutes. Choose the roll when you want its stamina-related benefits, or use your bat meat for Coxinha when that fits your supplies.

Use spare ingredients in soups and seafood dishes

Drumstick Soup is another use for Raw Drumsticks and Cooked Drumsticks. The Cooking Pot costs 1 Iron Pot and 3 Iron Rods to build. Its fire must stay lit for cooking to progress.

  1. Combine Noodles with Scorpion Tail or Cooked Tail in the Cooking Pot for Seafood Pasta. This gives your scorpion ingredients another route into a meal.
  2. Combine Scorpion Tail or Cooked Tail with a vegetable in the Skillet for Fish Stir Fry. This is another use for a tail when you are saving your dough.

If you need Noodles, 1 Corn Dough makes 2 at the Cooking Table. For the Cooking Pot, every ingredient must fit the same recipe, and the pot cooks the first recipe the combination matches. Keep combinations simple when aiming for a particular dish.

Raw Drumsticks, Scorpion Tail, and the baked dishes made from them spoil. Store ingredients and food in a Food Basket when you need to keep them fresh for longer. You can craft the basket from 3 Vines.
