Dishes that open the golden door

Bring Cooked Veggies, Bean Soup, and the meat dish named by your table's prompt: Stew or Meat Soup. Place the finished meals on the dining hall's Table Slots to open the golden Queen's Door.

The meals have no fixed left-to-right arrangement. Each slot holds a single food item, and the required dishes must be present together. Beyond the door, you can collect the Queen Crown from the Queen.

02

Prepare a Cooking Pot before making the offerings

Build a Cooking Pot from 1 Iron Pot and 3 Iron Rods in the Crafting menu. The offerings are Cooking Pot dishes, so prepare them there. Keep the fire beneath the pot burning while your ingredients cook.

Set aside the puzzle ingredients before cooking food for yourself. Keep your finished offerings together so you can check their names before returning to the table. Leave some inventory room for collecting the meals from the pot and carrying them back.

03

Find ingredients around the dining hall

Identify the dining hall by its large bat-filled room, central table, and golden door. Search its side rooms for ingredients for the offerings. Bring a Grappling Hook when gathering supplies around this area.

For Black Beans, harvest the bushes in the goblin caves. A black bean bush also stands along the path past the ladder reached after the railroad tracks. Gather beans before starting the final cooking batches so Bean Soup is ready alongside the other offerings.

Cooking Pot recipes for the table

The Cooking Pot holds one ingredient per slot and cooks with two or three ingredients. Use the named vegetable combination above to make Cooked Veggies. Repeating a different vegetable can produce its own dish: two Tomatoes make Tomato Soup.

Stew and Meat Soup are different results. Raw Meat with a vegetable makes Stew, while two pieces of Raw Meat make Meat Soup. Watch the pot's progress bar and keep its fire lit; cooking only advances while the fire burns.

05

Cook and place the offerings

  1. Read the table's meat requirement before cooking that offering. Follow the displayed food name to choose between Stew and Meat Soup.
  2. Cook Wild Pepper, Wild Corn, and Tomato together in the Cooking Pot. Collect the finished Cooked Veggies for the vegetable offering.
  3. Cook 2 Black Beans together in the Cooking Pot. Collect Bean Soup when the batch finishes and reserve it for the table.
  4. Cook the meat offering that matches the prompt: Raw Meat with Wild Pepper for Stew, or 2 Raw Meat for Meat Soup.
  5. Place Cooked Veggies in an empty Table Slot. Any available slot works, so there is no need to identify a vegetable-specific position.
  6. Place Bean Soup in another empty Table Slot. Leave the vegetable offering in place so both required dishes remain on the table.
  7. Place the requested meat dish in the remaining Table Slot. With the required offerings together, the golden door opens.

Check these details if the door stays shut

Check the finished food names before changing their positions. Stew and Meat Soup use different ingredient combinations, so compare your meat dish with the table's prompt. Moving the same offerings between slots does not change the required combination.

Inspect any meals you placed earlier. Food continues spoiling on the Table Slots, and Rotten Food no longer satisfies the puzzle. Replace spoiled offerings with fresh dishes rather than leaving them on the table while gathering the remaining ingredients.

Use a filled Table Slot again to retrieve its food, keeping room in your inventory for the returned item. This lets you remove an incorrect offering before placing its replacement. Keep your correct dishes in place while fixing the remaining slot.

Bring the finished dishes to the table. Animal carcasses cannot be placed on its plates, and filling a plate with another food does not replace the required meal. Check that you collected the cooked result from the pot before heading back.

07

Collect the Queen Crown behind the door

Enter the opened doorway to find the Queen and the Queen Crown. Keep your weapon ready around the skeletons inside. Take the crown from the Queen while she is down; if she gets up first, knock her down before collecting it.

The Queen Crown is a collectible treasure. Once the door has opened, you can retrieve your offerings from the table instead of leaving them to spoil. Keep inventory space available when using the occupied slots to take the meals back.
