Lower the Water With the Stone Coins
Place one Moon Stone Coin and one Sun Stone Coin in the same Water Statue to lower its water. For the Gold Talisman, use the statue beside the large fountain and corn area, leaving both coins inserted while you reach the chest.
Find the Coins Beside the Bat Dining Hall
Search the kitchen-side rooms adjoining the bat dining hall for the Moon Stone Coin and Sun Stone Coin. Explore the rooms to the left and right of the hall to collect the pair. Bring both coins to the Water Statue controlling the space you want to drain.
The coins need to be together in the same statue: placing them in separate statues will not complete the interaction. Each Water Statue controls its own water. Keep your destination in mind when choosing where to insert them, especially if you have already found the dining-hall statue.
Drain the Fountain Room and Collect the Gold Talisman
- Take the upper-floor entrance in the large fountain and corn area to begin the approach to the Water Statue room.
- Go straight along the upper floor to the room on the left. This room contains the hole used for the route down.
- Drop through the hole in that room to continue into the Water Statue area below.
- Insert the Moon Stone Coin into the Water Statue. Leave it inserted so it can work together with the Sun Stone Coin.
- Insert the Sun Stone Coin into the same statue. With both coins in place, the water lowers and the route to the chest becomes accessible.
- Enter the newly drained space to reach the chest that was underwater.
- Open the chest to collect the Gold Talisman. This is the treasure reached through the fountain-area Water Statue puzzle.
Recognize the Separate Dining-Hall Passage
The dining-hall Water Statue leads to the empty gold treasure-return chest. Reach that statue by climbing into the second room on the right in the dining hall, then place the Sun Stone Coin and Moon Stone Coin in its hands to open the passage. For the Gold Talisman, follow the fountain and corn route instead.
An empty gold chest at the end of the dining-hall passage is intentional. Its purpose is to receive the gold treasures you return. Finding that chest means you have reached the treasure-return destination, so head toward the fountain-area statue when you want to collect the Talisman.
Distinguish the Statue From Sewer Water Mechanisms
| Mechanism | How to Change the Water |
|---|---|
| Water Statue | Insert the Moon Stone Coin and Sun Stone Coin together. Its water stays low while both remain inserted. |
| Sewer water wheels | Turn the wheels to drain their sewer section. These interactions are separate from the Water Statue coin puzzle. |
| Water Clock | Time your passage around the water rising and lowering as the clock ticks between its sides. |
| Giant Moray Eel arena | Close all four Handwheels to drain the arena and expose the eel. Defeating it awards the Guarana Gem. |
When the Water Stays Up or Returns
- If the room remains flooded, check that the Moon Stone Coin and Sun Stone Coin are inserted into the same Water Statue. Then check that you are using the statue controlling your target area.
- If the water returns after you retrieve a coin, put the coin back. Removing either coin restores that statue's water, so finish collecting the Talisman and leave the drained space before recovering the pair.
- If you already collected the Talisman and later lost it, have the host check the Catalogue's treasure recovery option. Hosts can recover lost treasure wherever it ended up, including another player's inventory.
