Where to Get Logs and Wood Planks

Collect Logs from dungeon material pickup spots, then turn 1 Log into 3 Wood Planks in the Crafting menu. For ready-made Wood Planks, start with the loose crafting materials around the main room.

02

Gather Wood and Craft Planks

  1. Search the loose crafting materials around the main room for Wood Planks and Sticks; these provide the materials for a Rotisserie.
  2. Check replenishing material pickup spots during your dungeon trips for Logs and loose wood to bring back to camp.
  3. Select the Wood Plank recipe in the Crafting menu to convert 1 Log into 3 Wood Planks without a crafting station.
  4. Craft your chosen camp item using its complete ingredient list below, turning your gathered wood into a station, storage container or structure.
03

Use Material Pickups for Your Wood Supply

Make material pickup spots part of your return trips through the dungeon. Check familiar replenishing spots for loose wood, and collect ready-made Wood Planks when you find them. This lets you work toward a camp recipe while gathering Logs for later crafts.

The Axe clears brown roots that block passages. For your camp wood supply, focus on loose materials and the Log-to-plank crafting chain. Treat opening a root-blocked passage and collecting building materials as separate jobs when deciding what to carry.

Before heading out again, check the wood already stored at camp and choose the item you want to make next. Bring back its other ingredients alongside the wood whenever practical. That gives your gathering trip a clear purpose and helps avoid returning with supplies for several unfinished projects.

Camp Stations and Storage Made With Planks

Wood Planks go into cooking equipment, storage and the Workbench. The recipes below are made in the Crafting menu. Check the complete cost before spending your planks, since most also need another material.

Choose the Camp Upgrade You Need Next

Choose a Rotisserie when you want a basic roasting station, and build it over a Bonfire. Choose a Small Chest or Wood Chest when your immediate need is somewhere to store supplies. Prioritize whichever solves the problem interrupting your current trips.

The Workbench lets you craft equipment and tools, while the Cooking Table opens up meal preparation. If the Cooking Table recipe is missing, pick up Leather to unlock it. Keep the Leather needed for the station alongside your reserved planks so you are ready to build it.

06

Keep Whole Logs for Structures

Save whole Logs when you are gathering for a Wooden Bridge, Barricade or Wood Spikes. These recipes use Logs directly, so convert only the wood you need for your immediate plank recipes. Set aside the Log for a planned structure before making another batch of planks.

StructureIngredients
Wooden Bridge1 Log + 1 Iron Rod
Barricade1 Log + 2 Nails
Wood Spikes1 Log + 1 Chains
